Long before we knew we were coming to the USA, Brenna had by faith put us on her annual family membership for the Oregon Zoo - and we actually got to go!

Long before we knew we were coming to the USA, Brenna had by faith put us on her annual family membership for the Oregon Zoo – so it was excellent that we actually made it there!  Zoos are the best.

According to Brenna, we had to try the 'elephant's ears' they sold at the zoo.  They're basically like flat cinnamon donuts, and they're HUGE (and yummy).  Two between the nine of us was plenty.

The fact that we have dozens of lorikeets living in and around our front yard in Australia didn't deter us from visiting the lorikeet enclosure.  In fact, it was a nice reminder of home - except the ones at home don't eat out of my hand... yet.
